Retired Higher Executive Officer, Ministry of Primary Industries, Terengganu State Education Department. Previously served at Ministry of Education, Federal House; National Museum; Perak Treasury; Grik District Office; Baru Gajah District Hospital; Kroh District Office and Ipoh General Hospital.

Ratnavelu was an Old Edwardian VII and played for the Tigers. A true-blue Malaysian, who never liked to travel abroad.

He was a firm believer and staunch devotee of Court Hill Ganesha Temple (Pudu Pillayar).

He was a kind-hearted man with a set of steadfast values, and everlasting principles. Let us celebrate his unwavering faith and complete devotion to Lord Ganesha and Lord Siva, as his soul journeys onwards.
