Maureen a loving grandmother, mother and sister left us peacefully at home on Thursday, the 12th of September, 2019. Maureen was born in Singapore on the 9th of September 1937 to Nora and Edward. A loving spouse of 54 years to her late husband Brian James. 

Maureen is survived by her two children, daughter, Michele and her husband Bob Seth; son, Ian and his wife Roszy; and her five grandchildren: Galissa & Ashwyn Seth; Bill, Alyssya & Kyle James.  She also leaves her dearest sister Celine and her spouse Fred Zuzarte, their children: Glen, Lorraine, Leonard and Carl; and numerous relatives and friends across the globe. Her caregivers were Shane and Nita. 

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Oncology team at Tung Shin Hospital. A special thanks to Hospis Malaysia and in particular Nurse Stephanie for making the final journey a very comforting experience.

Maureen was loved by her students from St Anthony’s Boys School and St. Anthony’s Primary School in Singapore whereby she taught from 1958 to 2000. Retiring at 63, Maureen continued her passion by teaching her grandchildren, and continued her hobbies as a home cook, gardener and florist. With Brian and her love for flowers, they were the “resident florist” of the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea in Singapore. Regardless of her daily struggles with cancer, Alzheimers and Parkinson’s, Maureen would always without fail, manage a smile.

Maureen like her spouse, lived her life to the fullest.
