Jothi R R Ponnusamy

“Those who know [God] attain [God] by passing away from the world … [by sunshine, by day], during the fortnight of the waxing moon, or during the [6] months when the sun travels in the north [after the winter solstice].” Bhagavad Gita, 8:24

“That supreme abode of [God] is not illumined by the sun or moon, nor by fire or electricity. Those who reach it never return to this material world.” Bhagavad Gita, 15:6

After a period of illness, Jothi R R Ponnusamy, 73, passed away peacefully:

by sunshine, by day - at 5.40pm on 5 February 2017 (Sunday), during the fortnight

(9th day) of the waxing moon, and during the 6 months after the winter solstice.

Jothi leaves behind immediate family members

Grandchildren, relatives and friends. The family is grateful to the many relatives, friends, colleagues and doctors for their love and support during this period.

Funeral prayers were held on 6 February 2017 (Monday), followed by cremation.
