Passed away peacefully on 21 November 2019 (Thursday)
A self-made man, he followed in his father's footsteps, R.A.Parthan, and paved a successful career as a Civil Engineer. His greatest achievements are the construction of the Penang Bridge and the Malaysia-Singapore second link.
Venkatasan is survived by his two beloved sons, Santhanan and his wife Sze Pei, and Jaganathan and Tham Yee Len. Grandchild, Veeraj Kaynen Santhanan, a lovable dog Dino, siblings, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Dr.Rama Shiela Venkatasan in 2006.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1.00pm on Saturday, November 23 at his home located at No.1, Jalan Bunga Telang, Tanjung Bungah, Penang. The cremation ceremony will follow at the Mount Erskine Crematorium.
