      Not just a dedicated family man but one whose selfless championing of workers’ rights knew no bounds, from over 6 decades devoted as Executive Secretary and founder of his beloved MIEU, to his tenure as Secretary General for almost 3 decades with MTUC, and not forgetting his regional stints as President of the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions Asia and Pacific Regional Organisation (ICFTU APRO) and President of the International Trade Union Confederation - Asia Pacific (ITUC-AP).
