94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

He is predeceased by his wife of 34 years, Kok Yoke Lin,

and survived by his children, beloved daughter, Karen Yee Kan,

and equally beloved son, Yin Pong.

Dr Loke dedicated most of his working life to being a lecturer in Biochemistry at the University of Malaya, where he also served as Head of the Department of Biochemistry for a number of years. He also spent time as a Senior Teaching Fellow at the National University of Singapore, and was a Research Consultant of the Palm Oil Research Institute of Malaysia (PORIM),

No matter how accomplished he was in his career, he would be remembered most for his kind and generous spirit. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. He set a good example for his children, teaching them honesty and integrity, the value of working hard, and being content with the simple things in life. He earned the respect of many by the way he lived his life.
