Dr. Ramachandran, an old boy of Sultan Abdul Hamid College (SAHC), Alor Setar, passed away peacefully in Guyana, South America after a short illness. He was called to serve as doctor in Guyana 26 years ago by the then President Forbes Burnham. A bone specialist, he served with distinction in Guyana.
Deeply mourned by his family.

Cremation was duly solemnised in Suddie, Guyana on 15th October, 2018. The 30th day Athma Shanti Prayers in Alor Setar will be held at the family home at No. 1, Lorong Lintang, 05200 Alor Setar, Kedah on 10th November, 2018 at 7.00 pm followed by Thanksgiving.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Ms. Kalavathi Ramasamy of Guyana for her untiring services in arranging the cremation and liaising with us in Malaysia.
We are also much indebted for the support and messages of condolence from Guyana’s Minister of Public Health, Leader of the Opposition, Director of Public Health, Director of Regional Health, Executives, Doctors and Staff of Suddie Public Hospital and all friends of the late Dr. Rama, who went out of their way to give Dr. Rama a fitting and honourable final send-off in Guyana, so far away from his parental home in Alor Setar, Kedah.
