10th anniversary
Gracious God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we come again in
thanksgiving as we celebrate the life of our dearly beloved
whom You called home to Yourself ten years ago on
18th February 2014.
We will always love and miss this Special Gift of Yours
to our family. His ten-year absence cannot diminish our memories
of the warmth of his love, the humility of his soul and the largesse
of his service to others.
In these three dimensions, he so modestly reflected
what You require of each one of Your children
– that we should seek to walk in the footsteps of our Saviour.
We thank You that in the trail he has traversed
before us, he has left a soft glow –clearly visible in the darkness
– for us to follow.
Thank You, Lord, for receiving him into Your bosom.
We await re-unification with him on the last day.
“For our commonwealth is in heaven, and from it we await a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 3:20)
