40 years, yet it seems as it was but yesterday
That you were suddenly and without any warning
Taken away from me and our small children.
The years have rolled by and we have all grown older,
But whatever success and comfort that life has blessed us with
They pale in comparison to your absence in our lives.
They cannot replace the loss of a husband’s or father’s presence,
The loss of the warm and loving relationship of a complete family.
How I wish you had been with us a little longer,
To enjoy the warmth and happiness of our cherished love for you.
Suffice to say, that neither Time nor Space,
Can take away the special love that we will always have for you.
