300 days since you went away on 27-10-2022

“Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes;
Shine through the gloom and lead me to the skies.”

“Yow Wai loves Wai Yue. Yow Wai loves Wai Yue” schoolmates chanted on the bus all the way to Singapore. That was in 1963. Moments, trials, whiles, decades five. Your volleys as life guard turned teasing into reality.

My beloved sentinel in every aspect of our marriage. You rinsed once more the dishes after I had washed them. “The kitchen is no place for my darling nerd,” was your frequent comment. Your tantalizing home-cooked meals left behind unsatiable appetites.

You packed my bags each time we went on golf travels; my things spilling into yours. We lunched on the QEII. We honeymooned close to the Northern Lights. With no wants, we lived the lifestyle befitting our stature and comfort.

You personally chose and designed our grave and tombstone at

Xiao-En for channeling final journey to the Father for peaceful rest.

I have lost a soul mate – the person I laughed, loved and lived

with each day in his final years.

Yes, two togetherness, me still picking up the pieces.

300 days was just yesterday.
