Awake before the family stirs

She strides to the kitchen at dawn

Cooking eggs, buttering bread, mixing Milo

Next the dogs, she warmly greets

Calling endearments till they fawn

Everyday a thousand things to settle....

Who could believe

So soon she’d leave?

Her earthly song ended

Her sweet voice into Heaven’s Choir is now blended.
