in ever loving memory of
This above all, to thine own self be true.
I shall pass this way but once; any good that I can do let me do it now,
for I shall not pass this way again.
Today, we would have celebrated your 70th birthday with family and friends. You would have regaled us with stories and poetry in your inimitable style, ensuring everyone had drinks, more drinks and more drinks (food would have been optional). Although we cannot celebrate your birthday with you, we nevertheless celebrate you.
A most loving husband and father, a consummate lawyer and arbitrator, a superlative advocate, a sportsman and cricketer, a bibliophile and part-time poet, the life of the party and the last to leave. Your wit, humour, passion for life, humility and commitment to doing your duty fearlessly and selflessly, left an indelible mark and inspires us to live our lives as you did.
Thank you for you and thank you for the trail of beautiful memories you have left us.
Deeply missed and forever cherished by your beloved:
Brother, Raj Rajadurai; sister-in-law, Claire Martin; mother-in-law, Vilasmati Doshi; brothers-in-law,
Dr Sanjay Doshi and Narendra Doshi; sisters-in-law, Rupal Doshi and Prafulla Doshi; cousins, Ashok, Arvind, Abhay and families; nephews; nieces; Dr Ronnie McCoy & Twinkle McCoy; and Edda de Silva
The family thanks Vinayak’s dear friends from the Victoria Institution, National University of Singapore, Skrine, AIAC, the Malaysian and Singapore Judiciary and Bar, EAIC, the International Arbitration community, ICC, FIFA and the many others for their heartfelt messages of support, flowers and wreaths.
The family is deeply appreciative.
For some we loved, the loveliest and the best
That from his Vintage rolling Time hath pressed,
Have drunk their Cup a Round or two before,
And one by one crept silently to rest
