in loving memory
Lilian was granted her angel wings on 17th July 2021. She will be remembered of having made a beautiful life journey of touching many people’s life with joy and generosity. While studying in Canada back in 1980s, Lilian adopted a new faith and perspective that in Jesus Christ, her life has a new meaning and purpose. She knew God had already prepared plans for her; plans to prosper her and not to harm her, plans to give her hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
Loveable and a spirited person, Lilian would spend time and energy to encourage friends, colleagues, students and parents. Yes, even newly-met students and parents. For more than 30 years, Lilian had been working with and for UCSI University. UCSI has become like her ‘home’ where she felt ‘more at home’ in UCSI than anywhere else she knew.
Lilian’s passion to speak up and stand up for those who are voiceless speaks volume to her firm belief that her Lord God Mighty and Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ has always been her strength and fortress, the shelter she found rest and comfort. We are saddened with her sudden departure as we will miss her encouraging words and smiles. We also missed Lilian with all her capacity and opportunities, she could have cheered up one more person, encouraged one more student, motivated one more colleague.
May Lilian's departure serves as reminder We only have one life, and it will soon be past. Only deeds and words that have touched others will last.
Lilian you will be deeply missed.
From
UCSI colleagues and friends.
