Passed away peacefully on 16 September 2025.
Dr. Chandran’s journey through life was anything but ordinary. Born into humble beginnings in Sagil Estate (Tangkak), he began his career as a high school mathematics teacher in Johor. Seizing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, he pursued pre-university studies at Christian College in Madras, followed by medical training at Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal, India-where he met his beloved other half, Dr. Leela.
As a dedicated general surgeon, Dr. Chandran touched countless lives with his skill, compassion, and unwavering commitment to healing.
He was a man of quiet intelligence and deep thoughtfulness, who listened intently-often with a twinkle in his eye. His passions included reading widely; enjoying music across genres; capturing moments through photography; tending to his garden; and applying his remarkable ingenuity to fixing things around the home.
Above all, Dr. Chandran was a devoted husband, a loving father and father-in-law, a cherished grandfather and friend. His legacy is one of care, kindness, and sincerity. He will be remembered for the warmth he carried so effortlessly and shared so generously.
He lived by the words: “Love All, Serve All.”
