We waved goodbye to Bachan on January 21st, 2025, as he embarked on his next journey on a cold morning in Vancouver, Canada. A husband, father and grandfather, Bachan is survived by his wife, three children and two grandchildren. A former rock star, as the lead singer of the band Streetlights in the 1980’s, journalist /writer with the Star Newspaper, law graduate and teacher, Bachan led a varied life in two continents. From his humble childhood at the housing at Gurdwara Sahib Polis Jalan Parliament to the glitters of Vancouver, he left a lasting mark. And we know his next destination will be all the richer with his arrival.
