Gone so soon

Exemplary matriarch, you drank your Cup

Left us bereft bereaved bewildered

Drained of mind, body and spirit

Life churned, throwing us back to shore

While you rode the skies, sending rare signs

We struggled lurched

Turned a full cycle

Look down now, our darling Mare:

We are ripening

Cup of life

Cup of blessing

Cup of salvation
