Passion you exuded for the folks so good
Eminent writer, you conveyed fun in their fests and food
Ne’er tempted to leave, you loved the isle for all its mood
Anchored mostly in Pulau Tikus neighbourhood
Notable son of Penang, of Straits Chinese lineage
Gone from this earth, your spirit flares on in ev’ry Khorner page
